We live in a society where unfortunately gender role is more defined. People stick to those roles no matter how unimportant or unnecessary it is.
For example, men don’t cry, girls should not work out for long hours or guys should text first.

It doesn’t matter if a guy texts first or not. If you are a girl and the situation demands, you can talk first. Why do guys have all this pressure to text first? And what does it affect whether a girl or boy makes the first move?
Actually, in our society, it is not considered “cultured and nice” if a girl makes the first move. If she will be the one to initiate, she will be labeled as bold and bitch. They have these self-made standards that girls must wait for guys to talk to them.

Girl is unknown
As girls don’t text unknown guys so definitely guys have to text first. If you want to talk to some girl, and she doesn’t know you, then probably it’s time to kick start your conversation.
